WWW.MYSPACE.COM/HAYEDEHMUSIC هایده در تهران متولد شد. نام اصلی او معصومه دده بالا بود. خواهر کوچکتر او، مهستی نیز از خوانندگان معروف ایرانی است که حدود پنج سال پیش از هایده خوانندگی را آغاز کرد. هایده در ۱۳۴۷، فعالیت حرفهای خود را با خواندن ترانه «آزاده» اثر استادش علی تجویدی که بر روی آخرین سروده رهی معیری ساخته شده بود آغاز کرد. اجرای ترانه «آزاده» با ارکستر بزرگ گلها در رادیو تهران آغاز کار هایده بود. وی پس از اجرای چندین اثر دیگر از تجویدی، از نخستین سالهای دهه ۱۳۵۰ به خواندن ترانههای پاپ علاقه مند شد که بیشتر از ساختههای جهانبخش پازوکی، محمد حیدری و انوشیروان روحانی بودند. هایده در شهریور ۱۳۵۷ چندین ماه پیش از پیروزی انقلاب که موسیقی و به ویژه آوازخوانی زنان را دچار ممنوعیت و محدودیت های بسیار ساخت ایران را به مقصد انگلستان ترک کرد. او تا پایان عمر از این رویداد به عنوان تلخترین خاطره زندگی خود یاد می کرد.[1] .وِی از ۱۳۶۱ در لس آنجلس به فعالیت ادامه داد. اجرای ترانههای نوستالژیکی که گویای حال ایرانیان از ایران گریخته و حتی ایرانیان مقیم داخل بود هایده را بیش از پیش محبوب ساخت Pejman Akbarzadeh

Lois White: "Debke" is a Middle Eastern folk dance. It is a line dance. That is, people hold hands to form a line with the leader at the right end of the line. There is at least one notable exception, which is the Palestinian "debka", in which the leader is at the left end of the line so the line moves in the opposite direction. "Debke" can range from very simple (Step-step-step-kick-step-kick) to very complex. It is NOT done in Egypt, but you'll find many variations throughout Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine. It's found in Iraq too, I believe. It is done by both men and women and, depending on local tradition, the lines can be women-only, men-only, or mixed. It is closely related to the Greek Fast Hasapiko (Not Vari Hasapiko), Macedonian Oro, Bulgarian Horo, which are all based on the same Step-step-step-kick-step-kick pattern. Some folk dance specialists call this the generic Mediterranean three-measure dance.
