Beretta 92FS 9mm in USPSA Production Division
Here is a video from of an IPSC stage from the 2007 Space City Challenge held in Houston Texas. A stock Beretta 92FS in 9mm is used with 10 round magazines. Shooting my Beretta 92fs/M9 at the range. Paid $470.00 for it NEW!. Police Special! - It came with three 15 round mags and a custom case. This is my first pistol and in my opinion one of the best made. I LOVE it! I have shot about 5,000 rounds through it so far and not one malfunction!
Beretta M9/Model 92 pistol: Gargantuan 9mm, Part 1
PART 1 of 3: Nutnfancys look at an in-service Beretta M9 service pistol. The M9 was one of the designs that helped change the world looks at semi-automatic pistols due to its reliability and demonstrated durability. It has amassed a generally excellent track record in service with the military but does have some drawbacks. I contend its overly large for the 9mm loading even when compared against other full size pistols, its entirely too heavy, has more complexity, and can be less reliable than the Glock and Sig designs (from my OWN experience which is irrefutablesaw it with my own eyesyours may vary). However it has a decent traditional SA/DA trigger, good accuracy, tough weather-resistant Bruniton finish, and good firepower. The open slide was a modification designed to help reliability but its overrated in purpose and other closed-slide designs have proven extremely reliable in equally dirty conditions. Nowadays the Beretta is a dated design that has been surpassed by lots of other handguns in the categories listed. Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 5 out of 10
Shooting Beretta 950 Jetfire: Mag Dump
A quick shooting sequence showing the excellent accuracy of the tiny 950 Jetfire pistol. Holding 9 rounds, this is an excellent portable choice for LE or CCW Civilians. Yes it's only a .25 ACP caliber but thats a potent enough caliber when your carry system demands a pistol this small. The single action design will require practice and training. But, with that, it makes a great backup gun as well for you officers. Look for Nutnfancy's table top review of the 950 as well. Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 out of 10 NOTE: Camo and tactical gear worn is from other tests being conducted that day at the clinic. I test and demo many items per visit.

Beretta Airlight II knives: Not so light
It seems Beretta kind of forgot the "airlight" design objective when it cranked out these knives. Nutnfancy says don't laser cut the blades to get rid of metal then forget to make the handles light as well. It surprisingl, given the name, that the full stainless slab handles are not skeletonized or drilled out. And as such the Large Airlight II weighs 4.2 oz, the Medium 3.4 oz, and the Small 2.2 oz definitely second class citizens when it comes to other super light knives (witness the SOG Flash at 1.2 oz!). While these weights are not unreasonable, they are not airlight. Also the blades are made of the softer AUS6 steel which I generally dont buy anymore. Other downsides would include a possibly weak liner lock, slick scales, and a non-reversible tip-down pocket clip (mounted too low on handle BTW). The laser cut blades are themselves lightweight, razor sharp, have excellent shaping, nice Scotch brite finishes, and hollow grinding. And there are some other upsides as well: they have a wicked fast deployment, good fit and finish, super tight lockup, outstanding jimping on thumb ramp, and the smallest one would make a great EDC blade. The cost on these Airlights is comparable to similar designs. Overall these are interesting, seldom seen designs that offer good speed, sharpness, and good looks while maybe missing out on better steel, lighter weights, grippier handles, and better pocket clip design. ****Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 5 out of 10
