January 8th, 2009 at 12:58:42 Good to know. I actually asked them about a similar problem. You see... it might come as a shock to you all, but I happen to be... FAT! :) I wanted to know if the layer of fat on my face would kill the voice detection. It didn't, but I guess you discovered that a beard can. I have noticed that turning off the noise shield can help it work with "layered faces" but I wouln't want to discard the Jawbone's main feature. Still, for $80 it is by far the best headset I have ever tried.

January 8th, 2009 at 13:21:41 I had the Jawbone when they first came out but I returned it, I didn't like it at all. If you have a beard it cant detect your jaw, and on top of that the feature that quiets the mic when I am not talking didn't kick in when I sarted to until about 5 words in. I attribute that to a deep voice. The earpieces all hurt the outside of my ear after about an hour of use. It did get great battery life though. At the time I was lucky to find the grey one, they had tons of red, but nobody wanted them.
